It’s been a long time since I’ve posted anything on my blog and I’m excited to share a super cute card for Valentine’s Day today! Back in August I decided to take a break from designing and blogging for what I thought was going to be a month or so and then Hurricane Helene hit our area very hard. It took several weeks to get power and internet fully restored and we are still dealing with a huge amount of tree devastation and clean up. My crafting mojo just wasn’t there for months and I’m finally getting back into the swing of things. Today I’m sharing this card featuring an adorable walrus from November’s La La Land Crafts kit of the month.
This is a clear stamp set included in the Premium kit called “Freeze the Day” and there are 3 adorable walruses in this stamp set. I chose a simple design using a stitched oval die that I inked with Spun Sugar (clouds) and Evergreen Bough Distress inks. I used a few papers from LaLaLandCrafts that I think are retired now and placed my walrus on an ice floe die-cut also from LaLaLandCrafts. I also added a few Copic colored die-cut hearts from my stash.
I colored the image with the following Copic markers:
Walrus: E49,E47,E44,E43 (belly E44,E43,E42,E41)
Whiskers: E43,E42,E41
Nose: W8,W7,W6
Eyes:BG000, B00
Scarf/Hat: R85, R83,R81, white gel pen
Hat: BG72, BG70
