I’m excited to share a cute beach scene with you today!
I started this A2 card by die-cutting a piece of white cardstock using the frame portion of the Frilly Frames Quatrefoil Dies. I inked a soft sunset sky on the top half with Dried Marigold, Spun Sugar and Tumbled Glass Distress inks and adhered it to the card front.
Next, I cut a piece of Neenah Classic Crest 80lb solar white cardstock 5” x 6” and stamped the palm tree/ocean stamp from the Ocean View Stamps towards the top of the cardstock. I masked the stamped image and inked below it with Antique Linen Distress ink. I die-cut a slit on the right side approximately 1” below the image to tuck the surfboards in the sand using a die from the Tropical Scenes Dies. After coloring the image with Copics, I die-cut along the top edge using the coordinating dies. I then positioned the frame die from the Frilly Frames Quatrefoil Die over the cardstock, die-cut it and adhered it to the sky background piece on the card front.
To finish, I stamped the remaining images, colored them with Copics and die-cut them using the coordinating dies. I used the following stamps/dies:
Passionate Penguins Stamps/Dies
Tropical Birds Stamps/Dies (hibiscus)
Fabulous Flamingos Stamps/Dies (leaves)
Beach Buddies Stamps/Dies (beach hat)
I stamped the sentiment on strips of white cardstock using stamps from the Tropical Birds Stamps, Beach Bus Stamps and Passionate Penguins Stamps. I heat embossed them with clear embossing powder and inked the strips with Spun Sugar Distress ink.
