Happy Friday!
I’ve got a fun card today using some new products from the La-La Land Crafts Spring box and a recent Club La-La Land Crafts kit. It was raining like crazy here for a few weeks and we’ve finally got some warm sunny days. April showers bring May flowers and all that, right?
I had to use this cute little frog from the Showers of Joy clear stamp set as the star of my card.
This was a fairly simple card to make using a few dies to create the scene. First, I cut a panel of white cardstock 3″ x 6″ and inked the top half lightly with Tumbled Glass distress ink. I then inked the new Rain and Shine stencil set across most of the top pressing a little bit harder with the Tumbled Glass ink.
Next, I inked a piece of white cardstock with Shabby Shutters distress ink and die-cut 2 of the Grass Borders. Before gluing them to the center of the panel, I die-cut 2 Cattails from the February 2022 Club kit from white cardstock and copic colored them. I tucked one behind the grass and glued those die-cuts down. I then cut a 2″ x 3″ piece of white cardstock and inked it with Peacock Feathers distress ink for the pond. I die-cut the top edge using one of the Snowbanks dies and glued this piece to the bottom of the panel overlapping the grass.
I die-cut the Lily Pad and Water Lily dies from the February 2022 Club kit, inked the lily pad with Twisted Citron distress ink and Copic colored the water lily. Before gluing these to the panel, I tucked the second cattail die-cut behind the lily pad and glued everything down.
I Copic colored that cute little frog and fussy cut the image.
To finish it off, I added a die-cut cloud and heat embossed a sentiment from the Showers of Joy stamp set. All of these products are available right now in the LLLC online store except for the dies from the February 2022 Club kit but, if you become a Club kit subscriber, you can order previous kits after your first month of subscription. Just thought I’d mention that if you’re interested in those dies.
Hope you have a fabulous weekend and thanks for stopping by!
