Happy Monday Everyone!! I took a little break from Christmas cards to make this birthday card for my Mom’s birthday yesterday. She really loves dogs and this adorable puppy from the On the Table stamp set from Gerda Steiner Designs was just perfect!
This worked up really fast which was a good thing since I waited until the last minute to make it. I started by die-cutting the background panel from white cardstock and inking a Neat and Tangled stencil with Fossilized Amber distress ink. I then inked a second piece of white cardstock starting at the top with Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers and Wilted Violet distress inks. I sprinkled a little water with a paintbrush and then die-cut the MFT Happy Birthday sentiment from this piece.
To make the letters stand out more on the background, I die-cut the sentiment again from black cardstock and glued the letters together slightly offset.
I die-cut an MFT sentiment strip from black cardstock and added some polka dots with a white paint pen.
I colored up these cute images with Copics and fussy cut them out, but there are also coordinating dies available in the GSD shop HERE.
Hope you a great crafty week gearing up for Christmas and I’ll see you again soon!
Thanks for stopping by!
