Blog Hop Details:
What’s a blog hop without prizes?!
Both WOW! Embossing Powder and Gerda Steiner Designs are giving away a $25 Gift Card!
Please comment on each design team member’s blog post (including WOW! Embossing Powder & Gerda Steiner Designs blog posts) to be eligible to win 2x $25 Gift Card to Gerda Steiner Designs or WOW! Embossing Powder stores.
The winner will be announced on Monday, November 25th.
If you’ve been following along on the hop, you should have arrived here from Karen Reategui’s blog and your next stop is Gemma Campbell.
I had a lot fun incorporating the WOW! embossing powders on my cards. First up, I’ve used the Moose Love stamp set from Gerda Steiner Designs and 4 different embossing powders. I die-cut a circle from a piece of white cardstock and inked up an embossing folder with Versamark ink. I dry embossed the panel and then sprinkled Oyster Glintz all over the panel and heat embossed. I love that extra shine and hint of gold!
I die-cut some pine boughs from white and green cardstock and heat embossed them with Mint Macaroon. I inked a piece of white cardstock with Iced Spruce distress ink and die-cut a ring shape to frame my little scene. I’ve also heat embossed it with Mint Macaroon. I love the different looks you can get from the transparent powders.
For a nice pop of red, I die-cut the merry sentiment from kraft cardstock and heat embossed with Primary Apple Red Super Fine. It gave it a nice deep brick red color. I’ve also added a little Primary Apple Red embossing to the stamped hearts and mistletoe. I heat embossed the “kiss-moose”sentiment from the Moose Love stamp set using Opaque Bright White Super Fine.
On my second card, I’ve used another Gerda Steiner Designs favorite of mine, the Valentine Penguins stamp set, and the same powders as above except I’ve replaced the Oyster Glintz with White Puff powder.
I cut a piece of kraft cardstock for the background panel, stamped a sweater pattern and heat embossed first the top half of the panel with Primary Apple Red Super Fine and then the bottom portion with Opaque Bright White Super Fine.
I die-cut the snowflakes from white cardstock and heat embossed them with White Puff Powder. It’s becoming one of my favorite powders as we head into winter. Perfect for snowy scenes!
I heat embossed the “happy” sentiment from the Easter Bunnies stamp set from Gerda Steiner Designs in Opaque Bright White Super Fine.
For a fun bit of color, I inked a piece of white cardstock with Cracked Pistachio and Evergreen Bough distress inks, die-cut the winter sentiment and heat embossed it with Mint Macaroon.
Hope you enjoy the hop today and don’t forget to comment on all of the blog posts to be eligible to win!!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
