SMOOCH!

Happy Friday! Sharing a card here today using this adorable little frog from the newest Gerda Steiner Designs
“Frogs” stamp set!

I just love that this set included a little crown and the “Smooch!” sentiment. Too cute!!

I used one of my favorite color schemes on this one and started by inking the background with Evergreen Bough and then added a little bit of Broken China Distress ink in a few areas. I stamped the frog on the lily pad 4 times and colored the lily pads with Copics. I then cut just a portion of them and adhered them around the outside to create the pond scene.

For the center image, I stamped the crown first and then masked it and stamped the frog on the lily pad. I then masked the frog on the lily pad and stamped the lily pad again (upside down) behind the frog. Say that again 10 times. Lol!

I thought it would be fun to have a bunch of large bright lilies floating in the scene, but I didn’t have a large lily stamp or die. What to do?!

So…I used a palm tree die in my stash and layered some extra fronds on top after I colored all of the pieces with Copics. I really love how they turned out! He looks happy with it too.

Hope you have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!
