Java Nice Day!

March 21, 2019 in La-La Land Crafts - No Comments

Hi there! I’ve got a simple card to share today using a cute little sloth stamp from LaLaLandCrafts. This is from the Take it Sloth set and I’ve used a sentiment from the LaLaLandCrafts Java Nice Day set. I love how these 2 stamp sets work so well together.

I just recently purchased the Tim Holtz “Splat” dies and I immediately thought of this stamp and making it look like a coffee (sloffee?) spill. I die-cut one of the larger splat dies from white cardstock and inked it with Distress Inks in Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain and Frayed Burlap. To make it look like a liquid spill, I wet a paintbrush and randomly wet the ink, let areas dry and then re-wet other areas.

For a little interest on the background, I airbrushed a Hero Arts Swirl stencil using Copic NO and N1.

I colored the sloth image with Copics and added some colored pencil details.

To finish, I heat embossed the sentiment. Super simple!

Hope you enjoyed and I’ll be back tomorrow sharing a new Gerda Steiner release!
