Club La-La Land Crafts June 2019 Kit-Inspiration

June 18, 2019 in Club La-La Land Crafts - No Comments

Hi there! I’m back today sharing a few more cards using the June kit from Club La-La Land Crafts.

This kit has been amazing to work with and I’m so excited to share my little hacienda scene I’ve created on my first card! First off, let’s taco ’bout the cobblestone at the bottom of the card. I’ve die-cut the tortilla chip dies from the kit multiple times on a piece of cardstock inked with Walnut Stain distress ink. I then die-cut the chips again from white cardstock and inked them using Pumice Stone and Hickory Smoke distress inks before gluing them into place on the Walnut Stain cardstock piece. I just love how it turned out!

I’ve inked 2 pieces of white cardstock for the buildings with Tea Dye and Old Paper distress inks and used the La-La Land Crafts Scalloped Rectangles Die for the tile rooftops inked with Rusty Hinge distress ink.

The Large Stitched Tags Die made for a great door and I’ve inked it with the Wood Planks Background Stamp and added the black accents using the Long Flags Die. I’ve repeated this idea for that little hint of a window on the left side. I’ve strung some peppers from the Fiesta die in the kit and the taco dies to finish it off. How fun!!

For my second card, I’ve used a clean and simple design to really let those adorable chihuahuas take the show!
I started by inking the white cardstock with Twisted Citron distress ink. I then used both Pretty Diamonds Layering Stencils, one with Evergreen Bough and one with Peacock Feathers distress ink.

I’ve inked the guacamole and tortilla chips first with Rusty Hinge, Crushed Olive and Fossilized Amber distress inks and added some Copic accents to them. I Copic colored the lime die-cut and the chihuahuas and finished it off with a couple of the sentiments from the kit. Just love the punny sentiments!
