Hi there! Sharing a card today that I’ve entered in the current MFT color challenge. I had so much fun with this week’s sketch challenge that I thought I’d give this a go too.
The color palette spoke flowers to me, so I used the Brilliant Blooms stamps.
Pretty straightforward design on this one. I stamped the flowers and leaves in MFT Cement Gray and masked them before Copic airbrushing with E40 using the diagonal stripes stencil. This was more of an effort to incorporate the primitive cream in the color palette, but I really love the subtle result it gave.
I stamped a sentiment from the Beautiful Blessings 2 set and heat embossed it with Champagne embossing powder (Recollections brand).
I colored the images with Copics and added colored pencil details. I don’t strive for buttery smooth blends when I’m coloring florals as I think leaving those flick marks makes it look a little more organic.
Here’s the color palette from the MFT Challenge blog:
Hope you enjoyed and thanks so much for stopping by!
